The Tanners League Merit took place on Sunday 27th July on both greens at Meole Brace Bowling Club.
In the quarter finals the results were:
Gareth Ingram (Crescent) 21-9 v Anthony Gray (Castlefields)
Mark Harris (Crescent) 21-6 v Bernard Lowton (Meole Brace)
Adie Humphries (Ifton) 21-15 v Cameron Griffin (Unison)
Lee Walmsley (Prince Hotel) 21-18 v Danny Wornell (Prince Hotel)
In the semis Gareth lost 21-20 to Mark and Adie lost 21-13 to Lee. In the final Mark continued to play well to win 21-10 against Lee.
The Dick Meyrick Challenge Bowl was presented to the winner, Mark, shown below with League President Mike Caddick and Competitions Secretary Rich Jones.

The Competition Secretary thanked all those attending and for their support. Thanks were also extended to Mr Mike Caddick and Mr Gary Middleton and Meole Brace Bowling Club for two excellent bowling greens and hospitality. Thanks were also given to H S Fencing and Mr Neil Jones for sponsoring the competition.
