The competition took place on Saturday evening 9th August at Old Shrewsbury Bowling Club. An increased entry of 11 young people competed for this magnificent trophy this year – Ellis Griffiths (Prince Hotel), Holly Hotchkiss (Prince Hotel), Emily Hotchkiss (Crescent), Jack Cooke (Monkmoor), Sam Desborough (Ludlow Castle), Owen Hanmer (Castlefields/Unison), Lewis Hanmer (Prince Hotel), Jacob Wall (Castlefields), Luca Moseley (Castlefields), Toby Gray (Prince Hotel/Oxon) and Oliver Gray (Prince Hotel/Oxon).

In the final Sam continued his good form to win 21-8 against Ellis.
The Harold Kaye Trophy was presented to Sam by the Tanners League President Mike Caddick.
Thanks were extended to Old Shrewsbury Bowling Club, Mr Mike Caddick, for his help on the evening and his continued support in sponsoring the Tanners League’s junior competitions as well as Charleigh Butler, Landlady of the Prince of Wales Pub, for her sponsorship.
