The Annual Meeting was held at the Unison Club on Thursday 3rd March 2022 where a number of decisions were agreed for the forthcoming season.
The Shropshire League on a Friday evening will be ten aside and the Shrewsbury League on a Tuesday evening will be eight aside. This will be for the 2022 season only and will be reviewed at the end of the season.
Matches on a Tuesday evening will start at the normal time of 7 pm but will be played in a 3:3:2 format to ensure sufficient markers and measurers.
Players will be able to play for one club in the Shrewsbury League on a Tuesday and a different one in the Shropshire League on a Friday, although the normal transfer restrictions will continue to apply.
It was also agreed to increase the match levies, which had not been increased for seven years, by 5p a player.
The Shrewsbury League will begin on Tuesday 19th April and the Shropshire League on Friday 22nd April. The format of the league will be confirmed later in March once clubs have confirmed their entries for the 2022 season.
