Alan Hotchkiss of Crescent was the 2023 winner of the League Handicap in a field of 32 bowlers, beating Unison’s Matt Parry 21-20 in an excellent close final at Meole Brace Bowling Club.
On his way to the final he beat his Club mate Lee Walmsley 21-16, then Castlefields Anthony Gray 21-9 and Tony Hotchkiss (Prince Hotel) 21-16 before beating Hadnall’s Steve Dance 21-10 in the semi final.
Matt’s route to the final began with a 21-8 win over Owen Hanmer (Prince Hotel), then 21-14 over fellow Unison bowler Rowan Barwick and Hanwood’s Emily Cunningham 21-12. In the semi final he came up against Prince Hotel’s Danny Wornell 21-14.
