First round losers in the 2023 League Handicap took part in a Consolation Competition with Castlefield’s Keith Wall beating Hanwood’s Tony Cunningham in the final 21-7.
Having lost to 21-15 to Crescent’s Andy Pullen in the 1st Round of the main competition he beat Lee Walmsley (Crescent), Alan Potter (Pontesbury) 21-12 and Nigel Ferrington (Prince Hotel) 21-9.
Tony beat Sue Potter (Pontesbury), Meole Brace’s Aiden Hughes 21-20 and Pontesbury’s Charlie Hotchkiss 21-13 in the semi final.
