Executive Meeting Discussion Points for 2025

1. League Formation Friday nigTanners Shropshire Bowling League

   Executive Committee Meeting

   Discussion points to take back to clubshts – Go back to 3 divisions with a shorter league match fixture season and integrate Tanner cup/Champagne cup rounds in the Friday night fixtures. Possibly 2 new team entries so far giving a total of 31 teams for the 2025 season.

2. League formation Tuesday nights – Make all divisions larger to prolong the league match fixtures into September.
3. Make Tuesday night first division 10 a-side and all other divisions 8 a-side.
4. Allow Tuesday night first division teams to play Premier League registered players, maximum of 2 premier league registered players in any one league fixture match. Option if teams go up to 10 a-side.
5. Remove the rule that says once a Premier League registered player has played 3 premier league matches, they cannot play again on a Tuesday night. Replace it with Premier League registered players are restricted to playing in Division 1 only.
6. Remove rule that say results sheet should be entered on to bowlsresultstwo.co.uk in playing order as it cannot be policed.
7. Voting on matters that relate to individual divisions be restricted to only teams in that division at the time.
8. Fullwood/Scadding Cup be made 5 home / 5 away with neutral greens for semi- finals & finals. Entry to remain optional.
9. Split the Fullwood Cup and Scadding Cup in to division cups Fullwood Cup for Division 1 & 2, Scadding Cup for Division 3 & 4.
10. Presentation of league trophies to be made on same night as league cup finals with each club being charged £20 towards buffet.
11. Allow teams to drop down a division if squad numbers mean teams may fold if going from 8 a- side to 10 a-side with prize money restrictions put in places.

These are discussion points that were suggest at the last executive meeting, the Management Committee plan to have a rules revision meeting in November. We welcome any feedback from clubs regarding the discussion points for the 2025 season.
