The 2023 Champion of Champions was played on Sunday 21st April at Old Shrewsbury Bowling Club. Following some very good bowling in the earlier rounds the quarter finals were as follows:
Jane Archer 21 – 10 Emmet McKinley
Keith Wall 21 – 7 Steve Flynn
Peter Griffiths 21 – 18 Alex Evans
Neil Ashley 21 – 15 Darren Williams
In the semi-finals Keith played very well to win v Jane 21 – 6. Neil continued his good form on the day to win well v Peter 21 – 12. In the final Keith started well but Neil came back to go in front 12 – 11. Keith then surged ahead to win 21 – 12.
This was the second time Keith had won the Terry Croft Memorial Champion of Champions Trophy, having previously won the competition 10 years ago in 2014. Mrs Pat Croft attended and was delighted to present the Trophy to the winner. Thanks were extended to Mrs Pat Croft, Mr Mike Caddick, Tanners League President, and Old Shrewsbury Bowling Clun and its staff for hosting the competition.
