The Terry and June Sambrook Doubles competition was held on Sunday 19th June at Meole Brace Bowling Club commencing at 11 am with 14 pairs playing on No 2 green.
In the quarter finals Mark Parsons and Rhys Marshall beat Andy Cooke and Steve Ashton 21 – 16, Steve Duckett and Darryl Edwards beat Amy and Nigel Ryder 21 – 15, Neil Jones and Perry Evans beat Alex Evans and Mark Owen 21 – 4 and Haydn Lewis and Dan Wornell beat Aaron Roberts and Kian Thomas 21 – 18.
Both semi-finals saw very good bowling and were closely contested with Mark Parsons and Rhys Marshall beating Steve Duckett and Darryl Edwards 21 – 19 and Neil Jones and Perry Evans beating Haydn Lewis and Dan Wornell 21 – 18.
A very good final saw Neil and Perry beating Mark and Rhys 21 – 14.
