Prince Hotel were the winners of the Tanner Cup as they overcame Crescent in a very close match, eventually winning by 17 chalks, on Old Shrewsbury No. 2 green.
Crescent led by 8 off the front four with Mark Rogers on top form winning 21-9, whilst Ian Smith bowled very well to win 21-10 for the Prince as both sides won two games.
The middle was also shared but Nicki Hotchkiss’s 21-9 put the Prince one chalk up going into the last two games, with the Prince then going on to win both. Simon Lewis put in a player of the match winning performance 21-6, leaving Ian Marshall on the green to score the winning wood.
