Unison were the 2022 winners of the Champagne Cup beating Meole Brace by 27 chalks on Old Shrewsbury No. 2 green.
Games were shared on the front but a player of the match performance from Unison captain Matt Parry with 21-11 helped put the Shirehall side in front. Two big cards in the middle of 21-7 from Matthew O’Brien and 21-8 from Cameron Griffin put them well in truly in command to lead by 40 chalks going into the last two games. Meole’s back two responded well, both winning with Adrian Adams having their best card of the evening 21-10.
