The 2024 Tanners League Champion of Champions competition was held by kind permission at Old Shrewsbury Bowling Club on Sunday 13th April. Twelve bowlers attended of the 18 invited players. In the preliminary round Emmet McKinley (Oxon) beat Phil Talbot (Hanwood) 21 – 17, Ellis Griffiths (Prince Hotel) lost to Will Tyler (Meole Brace) 10 – 21, Kev Farr (OSBC) beat Jack Cooke (Monkmoor) 21 – 3 and Rob Jones (Prince Hotel) beat Megis Phillips (Ifton) 21 – 19.
In the quarter finals Emmet beat Carl Bowers (Hanwood) 21 – 17, Matt Turner (Castlefields) beat Will 21 – 10, Billy Walmsley (Prince Hotel) lost to Kev Farr 8 – 21 and Neil Jones (Prince Hotel) beat Rob 21 – 16.
The two semi-finals saw some very good bowling with Matt beating Emmet 21 – 16 and Kev beating Neil 21 – 13.
Matt continued his good form and won the final against Kev 21 – 8.
