The competition took place on Saturday evening 31st August 2024 at Old Shrewsbury Bowling Club. Seven young people competed for this magnificent trophy this year – Jack Peach (Castlefields), Ellis Griffiths (Prince Hotel), Wayd Pawlowski (Wem USC), Billy Walmsley (Prince Hotel), Holly Hotchkiss (Prince Hotel), Emily Hotchkiss (Crescent) and Jack Cooke (Hadnall).
In the quarter finals Ellis played Jack P (21 – 8), Holly played Billy (21 – 20) and Emily played Jack C (21 – 20).
Two excellent semi-finals were Ellis v Wayd (21 – 12) and Emily v Holly (21 – 7).
The final was an exceptional game with Ellis continuing his good form to win 21 – 10 v Emily.
The Harold Kaye trophy was presented to Ellis by the Tanners League President Mr Mike Caddick who also sponsors our junior competitions.
