Battlefield won the 2022 Team Doubles Consolation Shield by the narrow margin of 4 chalks over Greenfields & Albert Road at Old Shrewsbury
The Lions got off to a great start as Amy Ryder and Dave Wall won 21-4 to wipe out G&A’s 15 chalk handicap but Herbie Bowden and Pauline Grocott responded with 21-14 which meant it was level after three games. G & A won two of the last three games but it was not enough as Battlefield’s Lee Parton and Tim Cliffe won 21-11.
